It’s a time to be thankful.  Yes, in spite of your debt, medical issues, job loss, death of a loved one, divorce, addiction – you can be thankful if for no other reason than that you woke up this morning and lived to see another day.

So if you haven’t made a list yet of all that you are grateful for in your life, I encourage you to take a few moments to jot at least 10 things down.  If 10 are too many then start with five.  Write on pretty paper or card in bright letters with a coloured pen or marker.

Post your gratitude list in a prominent place like on your bathroom mirror or kitchen cupboard so it becomes a constant reminder.  Try to add one more thing to your list every night before you go to bed.  And let’s remember: there’s always at least one good reason (e.g. being alive and breathing) to be grateful.

  1. I am thankful for my health, job, house, family and friends. One of the things that we do at Thanksgiving is after we say the blessing we each say what we are thankful for. Thanksgiving to me is more then a day on the calendar it a lifestyle that we must acquire at all times. No matter what life looks like there is always a reason to be thankful.     1. I love that Thanksgiving for you is more than a date on the calendar. I wish more of us felt that way, especially since we have so many things to be thankful for every single day.     1. I do try to be positive but admit that some days the negativity creeps in and overwhelms me. I am however thankful for readers like you who not only read my words but take the time to leave a comment! Happy Thanksgiving 🙂
