Travelling in this day and age is definitely not as pleasurable as it was before. Today it’s all about security lines and immigration lines. It’s about ziplock bags with 3.5 ounce containers. It’s about taking off shoes and belts, taking laptops and iPads and Kindles out of bags – and then replacing everything after getting re-dressed. It’s about delayed and even cancelled flights. It’s about trying to go with the flow because most of the time there is nothing else you can do to change your situation.
In my job I do quite a bit of travelling. To help me lessen the stress of packing and unpacking I have a suitcase partially packed with toiletries, cosmetics and pyjamas ready and waiting to go; a good decision. For this trip I’m on now, I decided to pack my skipping rope and resistance band. These come in handy for a great work out in your hotel room and are excellent in keeping the suitcase space required to a minimum; another good decision.

But look at the pic below. Can you see why you should always read finely printed labels BEFORE picking up something off of the shelf hurriedly and paying for it, far less pre-packing it so it’s ready to use when you arrive in another country? Leave a comment if you can tell why this new mascara just could not work for me and why I had to leave my eyes ‘unfinished’ after putting on my make-up.
And oh yes, I absolutely love to travel … not!
