Celebrating Moms and Mom-preneurship

Moms are awesome

A Mother’s Prayer For You

I said a Mother’s Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tender-hearted love.
I thanked God for the caring
you’ve shown me through the years,
for the closeness we’ve enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.
And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you’ve done for me
and I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be!

It’s the month of May, the month when we celebrate our moms and all they have done for us. I lost my mom in 2009 and still miss her very much. It doesn’t matter now how annoying she could be sometimes by insisting I check in or do something I didn’t feel like doing; it doesn’t matter now how she would just pass by unannounced whenever she was in my neighbourhood; it only matters that she loved me and I loved her.  Yes, she is truly in my heart and always will be.

Whether your mom is here on earth with you or has gone to be a flower in God’s garden we are sure you loved her and want the world to know just how much. So how can we help? By sharing this love of course!

And it’s quite simple. Just go on over to our Living Day by Day Journals Facebook page and in the comments box, share some thoughts on your mom. The person with the most likes for their comment will receive … well, it’s all on the page.  Pretty easy right?  Right! So let’s get to sharing and making this month totally awesome for our moms 🙂

To My Mother

For all the times you gently picked me up,
When I fell down,
For all the times you tied my shoes
And tucked me into bed,
Or needed something
But put me first instead.
For everything we shared,
The dreams, the laughter,
And the tears,
I love you with a “Special Love”
That deepens every year.

  1. Aw, how lovely. Thanks for posting this. I consider you indeed a lucky woman for having had your mom as long as you did. My mom died when I was two years old and I have wished at least a hundred times that I could talk to her, ask for advice, etc. Hugs to you and wishing you a blessed holiday with your family.

    1. I am indeed lucky! I quite understand however the wish to talk to your mom or ask advice because that is exactly where I am today. Your words mean a lot and thanks for writing them to me. Sending lots of hugs with love from my end of the globe back to you. Be blessed!
