Are you discouraged? Consider taking 5 in 5

“You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety” (Job 11:18).

Some days it’s hard to stay on top of all that life throws at you.  If you’re a parent it could be the car pools, errands, homework assignments, refereeing and emotional exertion.  If you have a demanding job it could be the pressure deadlines, testy boss and thin-skinned co-workers.  If you are a freelancing entrepreneur it could be a super slow internet connection, temperamental printer or frustrating research results.  And have we mentioned the relationships we need to maintain and nurture with our spouses or partners – after all of the above?  Yes, the list can be never-ending and after a while it becomes much easier to be discouraged than to press on positively.

But there is hope and I am glad I came across these 5 Affirmations for a Discouraged Spirit compliments of – as well as some thoughts as to why we should include them as part of our daily lives.   Let me share them with you (click on the title for more details):

5 Affirmations for a Discouraged Spirit

  • I am strong
  • I am not alone
  • I am a problem solver
  • I have a place
  • I am loved

So what’s the plan? Can you take 5 in 5 i.e. 5 minutes to reflect on and repeat these 5 affirmations?   I am sure you can! Because there always comes a time when we need a lift and to be encouraged.  Let’s not give up hope, because we’re in this together!
