I don’t care what anyone says, it’s never too late for this!

A generous person will propser; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.  Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)

Can you remember the name of that significant someone who made such an impact on your life you can never forget what they did for you?  Maybe it was something that happened just when you had given up hope and along comes a human angel at the right time with exactly what you needed.

I have had a few such angels be a part of my world.  For example, two beautiful women helped me when I was struggling to become a home owner as a young employee fresh out of school with nothing more than a host of goals instead of money.  Another friend lent money to make the home habitable (I never asked, we were simply having a discussion over a meal).  My son has godparents who have gone above and beyond as we battled his asthma, and of course, I can never forget the amazing kindness of those who supported us when mummy was ill by providing prayers, baby food, cleaning services and even oxygen machines – most times before we could even summon the strength to ask.

The interesting thing about this life is that you never know who is going through what.  You see people at your office every day and they are smiling or encouraging others yet their own path may be filled with unbelievable challenges of which you are totally unaware.  Similarly your boss or your pastor is smiling and upbeat, while in the background they are dealing with conflict or the loss of a loved one – just saying.

And so I encourage you to pause a bit and think back on any such moment, and as you do, to take a look at this short video (by clicking on the image below) which reminds us that human kindness transcends all barriers whether they be language, cultural or even race.

Go out today and make sure you are part of the movement 🙂

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
