I have intense conversations with my camera. I beg and plead. A few evenings recently, I asked it for just one or two shots that I could look at and be in awe of the amazing moon looking down on us. Sometimes it listens but oft-times the lens laughs at me (with or without a flash). Yet I know I must not give up; I must try at all costs to capture the beauty of a still clear Barbadian night, complete with a pinky-grey sphere of a shadowy moon suspended over a gently waving ocean … and I think I almost got it this time around (as seen from my patio).
PS: One day I’ll eventually get the settings on my camera right and then my photos will be super awesome 🙂
This post is the submission for the WordPress Challenge – Nighttime: “What nocturnal photos do you like taking? Whether it’s a starry sky, a street lamp, or the shadows cast by your cat, share them with us. Your shot can be outdoors or indoors, blurry or crisp, overexposed or ominously dark. As every owl (and night owl) knows, nighttime is when the real action starts.”
I can relate to the conversations with your camera! These are really lovely photos. Such beautiful colors!
