I would venture to say that we should look for any opportunities before Thanksgiving if we can i.e. whenever you visit an elderly loved one, look for the signs. They are there even though they may seem to be insignificant at the time. Yes, everyone forgets from time to time but things like non-payment of bills or not being able to find important documents (not to mention not bathing or looking after personal hygiene) are key to helping us identify potential problems earlier rather than later.
There were signs there for us but we ignored them, brushing them off as ‘old age’. It wasn’t. It was Alzheimer’s. Be aware! Something to definitely bear in mind and really good advice to be found here.

“The very quality of your life, whether you love it or hate it, is based upon how thankful you are toward God.
“I am grateful for what I am and have. Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.
