Essential or Non-Essential? 5 Tips to help you decide before you ‘shut down’


One of the most interesting things about trying to recover from a serious viral illness is defining what things are essential and what are not. When your body is telling you it’s tired and worn out, my suggestion is that you listen … and take better care of yourself (because your body is essential!).

Have you ever thought about what things in your life are truly essential and which should come before those which are not?  How can you tell?  The bible tells us there is a time for everything, but what must we actively do to make sure that our lives are arranged in such a way that we are doing the right thing at the right time?

As you may be aware the US government shut down their operations on October 1 (except for ‘essential’ services).  I was amazed, wondering how could an entire government of a country as big/significant/influential/powerful as the USA just … ‘shut down’???
