A Fun Friday post instigated by a WordPress Photo Challenge which proved quite interesting in putting together. Here was what we were told: “What does angular mean to you? It might mean the corner on which you live or the intersection of sea and sky at a 180 degree angle. Angular also offers a chance to shoot from an entirely new perspective: from above, below, or even from the margins of the fray. Above all, have fun!”
Angular can be interpreted in different ways but I decided to go back to the photos I took last year when I visited the city of Barcelona, Spain. The architecture was absolutely amazing and definitely offered an interestingly uniqueĀ mixtureĀ of various angles and curves.
ButĀ I also recentlyĀ realised two things which cropped up one day:
#1: That snails for some reason love to chill out by hanging upside-down at right angles from the tree branches in my garden š
And #2 that sometimes the angle of a sign (or maybe it’s the angle of my head) can throw a whole new perspective on directions (yikes)! Guess this shows that “too far East is West” š

Great gallery! I love the architecture slides you put together. It reminded me the trip we made this summer.

Glad you liked the slides. The architecture was mind-blowing and it was everywhere. Even the poor camera was overwhelmed š Hope to have you visit again soon and thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous architecture! I miss seeing buildings that are hundreds of years old. We don’t have much of that in the US.

But the buildings in the US are also fabulous high rise amazing structures, so I think it’s sometimes hard to get a good blend of both modern and historical. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Here I was looking at some of your pictures thinking, “Hey that looks a lot like Barbados!” (we were very fortunate to visit a few years ago, it is unforgettable)…. I am still absolutely dying to visit Barcelona though – every time we think about taking a trip, something comes up to scupper the plans! Love the snails hanging around – such sweet creatures!
This weekend is all about catching up on some R&R with the family… test is over and I passed *deep whew* … and may your weekend be wonderful š
