There’s nothing like being a mother … and I would know; I’ve been one for the past 16 and a half years. But where’s my reward for being a dedicated worker? What about my recognition for overtime or for going above and beyond? Oh, and let’s not forget all the extra things I did that weren’t on my job description! If this is a career path when will I ever become CEO instead of a general worker?
Actually, none of the above matters. There’s no way a mother can explain in words the feeling she gets from hugging her child as she reads stories in bed, or wrapping them in her arms…
