If she had only known then …

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Colossians 3:18-19 (NIV)

Remember this post I wrote about marriage and sharing a sound tip or two with my son?  It was called “Once upon a time, they lived happily ever after … maybe” because there are no guarantees to ‘happily ever after’ especially if the effort is only being made by one person instead of two.

But guess what? I actually came across a female divorcee’s perspective (A woman’s response to “Beautiful advice from a divorced man after 16 years of marriage”) which I felt I should share that with you as well.  The author, Wendy, has more than 20 points however but of course, that comes with simply being a woman and paying extra close attention to emotional detail 🙂

Definitely worth reading; enjoy!

PS: For a non-sensical abstract (not sure if it’s truly authentic) take on marriage click here – and then smile, while being totally thankful you didn’t live in the 1960’s.  Leave me a comment if you agree with this author.
