“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matthew 6:26-27 (NKJV)

The tiny yellow-breasted mother bird built a nest in the top of the wind chimes in our patio ceiling. Guess this space was relatively safe from the elements and other birds so all in all her strategy was a good idea. She padded and tweaked and reinforced the nest over a period of several days. As you can see, this nest wasn’t a single story bungalow; it was more like a mansion filled with exotic furnishings (as evidenced by the many missing material borrowed directly from my poor mop).
I didn’t even know she’d laid her eggs but those three little babies now with us are always always hungry! And sooooo noisy! They tweet and tweet and tweet loudly, getting really excited when momma brings them food aka I loves loves loves being on vaca to experience such awesome love first hand.
So hope you enjoy these pics taken bright and early this morning – because a girl just can’t sleep in with all that sweet racket going on so she could as well share the warmth with others 🙂
