“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all of the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.”

Deuteronomy 28:12 (NIV)

My granny had a favourite saying: “Everything for a season child, everything for a season.” Are you familiar with these words? They simply mean nothing lasts forever … because obviously everything on earth is but for a season. It doesn’t matter whether it’s hardship or pleasure, good times or bad: it’s going to come to an end.

So today, we want to consciously be thankful for the seasons God has provided. We are not going to give up or complain or whine about where we are in our lives because this is the season we are supposed to be in – right now and right here. We will stand tall and be a beacon of hope for others. We will be patient in our testing so we can invite others to share in our awesome testimony. We will hold on to God’s promises and endure the journey as we wait on the Lord because OUR GOD IS A BIG GOD!

Thinking of you … in this season.
