For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Don’t you wish you could sometimes see a sign like this, waiting in the distance as you walk along this path called life? I think it would be great!
A little warning that the ATM machine is goin g to eat my debit card and leave me hypothetically penniless is good. A thumbs-up that my car will not start just as I am leaving for an important meeting would be appreciated. A special nod or wink of the eye forewarning me of a pending disagreement with my teenaged son would prepare me strategically for battle (and save lots of energy too). Life can indeed be dangerous! Maybe a big sign in black-and-white warning me of a big hump in the road ahead would make the days so much easier … or would it really?
Maybe I don’t need it because God knows the road and He has the steering wheel. It follows then that if I have faith in His driving then signs don’t really matter. God will prepare me to move up and over any hump in any road – as long as I admit that I honestly don’t know where I’m going and let Him drive my vehicle.
So what’s it going to be for you? Are you going to hog the wheel or let the real driver of your life have control? I know my answer … because I hate driving …
And if you do what you are doing you won’t risk taking the wrong path: There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12

Agreed! Hard to stick to the straight and narrow path sometimes but it’s truly worth it in the end.
