Victory is mine … finally!

I am a girl with a little Olympus Stylus camera which I purchased in 2009 during a brief business trip to Miami. Not great on features or focus or awesomeness but I point and it shoots. In other words, I am definitely not a professional photographer by any means; actually I am not even an amateur! I am just a girl with a little … but wait … I said that already.

The weekly WordPress Photo Challenges however have given me the confidence to learn more about my camera and to step out of my comfort zone. I’ve learnt to never leave home without my extra pair of eyes because it’s very easy to miss out on that ‘perfect’ shot.  I’ve learnt that close up means macro and not blurred – lol.  I’ve learnt that there can be many different angles to a single image.  And all this in spite of the fact that I am just a girl with a little … oops, there I go again!

So imagine the depth of my joy when I am able to actually capture nature ‘in action’: a buzzing bee flitting around on a beautiful flower and a little ladybug on a green leaf before it flies off to the next adventure.  These photos can make a girl feel so accomplished! Definitely a victory 🙂
