I met Julie when I was growing my LinkedIn connections and reaching out to everyone who hosted, facilitated, and/or spoke at any professional development type of webinar in 2020. Even though she didn’t know me personally, she patiently responded as I bombarded her profile with comments and questions. We finally met for coffee and had one of the most interesting conversations ever as she shared story after story after story.
An individual with a big heart who genuinely cares about people, Julie began to explore Human Resources as a career after being terminated from her first job 23 years ago. In her words: “It was traumatic to hear the words ‘this is not working out, so we have to let you go’ while in the final trimester of a tough pregnancy and first year of marriage. It remains one of the most unsettling experiences in my career as an employee.” Like, ouch and double ouch!
Julie has written a book and launched a very successful podcast since that conversation so long ago. She is grinding and growing and doing whatever it takes to be successful.
