Give it all away

“Come to me, all you who are wearied and burdened, and I will give rest.”
Matthew 11:29 (NIV)

Today we want to talk a little about stress, because it doesn’t matter how much you try to ignore it or sweep it under the proverbial rug, prolonged tension and strain on your body translates into a serious killer. The reality then is that you will become its victim unless you actively do something to manage it sooner rather than later.
One of the first things we can do is to consciously give God everything that is causing us worry and anxiety. He created the entire earth with the sea, the sun, the moon, the stars, the animals and us itty bitty humans. Believe then that He can definitely take care of an overdue bill, a sick child or parent, an unreasonable deadline, a dead battery or flat tyre, a back-stabbing co-worker or a judgmental ‘friend’.
At the end of the day the choice is yours and yours alone as to what you will do to manage your stress; I would know. To close today’s thought out, I am working on me and I hope you are working on you; the choice is ours to make – let’s make the right one.
“Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not.”
~ Valerie Bertinelli
“If you don’t think your anxiety, depression, sadness and stress impact your physical health, think again. All of these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Learn how to cope, sweet friend. There will always be dark days.”
~ Kris Carr

I am definitely not a techie and admit to needing any help I can get when it comes to using my computer.  Some days it’s actually quite hard to look up when you’re so bogged down in the mire of work!

That being said however, I found this article quite useful and if Excel is somewhat of a challenge for you too, then these 10 templates are sure to help.   When you have a moment you should also go over and check out the Excel Made Easy site but until then good luck … and let’s keep looking up!

10 Excel Templates for Simplifying Your Life

“Life in the early 21st century wasn’t supposed to be so hectic. In a 1930 essay, economist John Maynard Keynes predicted a 15-hour work week by 2030, when we’d all have time to enjoy ‘the hour and the day virtuously and well,’” reports Brigid Schulte in The Washington Post.

While the goal of technology was to make life more efficient, somehow the opposite has happened since we seem to be working harder than ever with the convenience of the Internet and the portability of handheld devices. However, here are some free, downloadable Excel templates that will prove that technology CAN simplify your life.
