It’s Father’s Day and we’re wishing all fathers (and father figures) an enjoyable and relaxing day. We acknowledge that more fanfare is made in recognition of mothers, but let’s face it: fathers are important too so let’s share some love!
Our prayer is that God will not only continue to shower His blessings over our fathers for many more Father’s Days to come, but that He would also empower them to enrich the lives of whoever they may touch … every single day.

Jesus knows how our story is going to end. And that’s all very well and good but we want to know how it ends too. Some days it’s really hard to hang on until we can see the light at the end of our tunnel. If it’s not one thing it’s another – another e-mail, another letter, another conversation, another meal to cook, another teenager to discipline, another relative to look after, another day you’re barely hanging on to the end of your rope. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. For 40 days many Christians will more than likely pray, fast and/or give up something they think they can’t live without. Things like chocolate, alcohol, potato chips, sex, TV or Coca Cola top some lists, but I feel if you only have a coke (or sex) three times a month it doesn’t really make sense fasting … just saying.
