“But the LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.” (Habakkuk 2:20)
“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.”
Psalm 23:1-2 KJV
Looking for still waters to restore your soul? Look no more!
This amazing lily pond goes on forever and is filled with large fish who cannot wait to be fed by the many who visit. These photos are but a few of several taken at Codrington College in St. John, Barbados – a place where you can find rest and peace in the middle of life’s seemingly never-ending chaos.
A beautiful breath-taking piece of Barbadian nature, this is definitely one of my absolute favourite go-to places because when I need to get away to somewhere serene and far away from the madness, here is where I can successfully detox, recharge, revitalise and recalibrate my life.
But how do you recharge? Where do you go and what do you do? Is peace and serenity important to you?

“Your days are short here; this is the last of your springs.
And now in the serenity and quiet of this lovely place, touch the depths of truth, feel the hem of Heaven.
You will go away with old, good friends. And don’t forget when you leave why you came.” ~ Adlai E. Stevenson

My photo for the WordPress Photo Challenge – Mirror:
“This week, show us a mirror. You can take this photo challenge literally, and find reflections in mirrors, or in the stillness of a natural body of water. Live in an urban area? Some skyscrapers are beautifully reflective of the cityscape around them. Or, use this challenge to take a photo of yourself in the mirror. Self-documentation is important, especially for those of us who are usually behind the lens. Enjoy!”
